BIOGRAPHY Jen Morris is a professional East Coast based actor, model, and singer and is a member of the Actors' Equity Association.
As a singer, Jen has studied privately for over 12 years. She is classically trained with extensive training in musical theatre as well as cabaret, opera, and light opera.
Jen received her Bachelor of Arts degree from American University, where she double majored in musical theatre and public communication. She graduated summa cum laude with honors in musical theatre.
During her tenure at American University, Jen received a diverse theatrical education, which included Method-based advanced acting technique, comedy technique for theatre and musical theatre, acting for film, voice for musical theatre and opera, musical theatre movement/dance, audition technique, and monologue/scene study.
In addition to her training as an actor, Jen also worked extensively as a student producer for major university productions and galas. She has acquired a diverse special event planning and producing resume, which includes producing and starring in Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World as her honors thesis project.
Since completing her degree, Jen has worked continuously as a local Washington actor, receiving many favorable reviews.
She has continued her training for on-camera acting and has worked on several PSAs, commercials, and student films.
Most recently, Jen completed a nine-month national tour with the prestigious John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. She performed multiple roles including Mrs. Bucket and Mrs. Gloop in the first national tour of Leslie Bricusse's musical, "Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka." She traveled to 28 states and played packed houses in nearly 80 cities throughout the country.
